HOW ADDING A MENU, ONE BUTTON, ONE FORM AND CHANGING SOME COLORS INCREASED CONVERSION RATES 34% AND REVENUE 20% IN TWO WEEK

Mrwedo loves conversion rate optimization, because once SEO traffic is there, without a CRO, it doesn’t do anything. Last week we made several conversion rate updates to the client’s website (b2b customer). As a result, the conversion rate increased 34% and revenue was 20%. Let me explain.

FACT ONE - MRWEDO ADD GLOBAL BUTTON

It is important to allow someone to easily reach the goals of the website, wherever they are on the website. Therefore, we added a simple global button that asks people to register now.

We change the color of the main call to action and minimize secondary calls to action

We advice you may have only one main call to action on any page. That main call to action should be the brightest on the page. All other elements must be minimized. You can have two more calls to action on the page, making a total of 3, but those should be more than one color off. For this client, we changed the home page so that the call to the main action was clear, the others were silenced and the rest of the color scheme did not conflict. If there is anything else you want to promote and make accessible, you should be in a navigation for UX.

FACT NUMBER TWO – MRWEDO TEAM OF CONTENT EXPERTS SIMPLIFIED THE LANGUAGE

The client had excessively text and did not clearly describe his product or service. We take the time to rewrite the value proposition and describe just what they did and could offer.

FACT NUMBER THREE - WE ADD A FORM TO THE SIDEBAR (SOMETIMES MORE INFORMATION GIVE MORE TRUST TO THE CUSTOMER)

The website has one template that does not have a clear call to action. We want to emphasize the main purpose of the site, so we add forms to the sidebar that allow people to register without leaving the page. This works really well and people start using it immediately. This helps monetize large volumes of traffic that are already heading to the page set, which has ranked very well in Google’s organic search.

Conclusion

This is one more example of conversion rate optimization project for this client. This changes  increases conversion rates on every marketing channel in Google Analytics. We will take this same concept and apply it to other property clients. Clients can make ROI on the CRO project in the few weeks!
